Price and Product Changes from 3rd September 2017
From 3rd September System One Travelcards will be making some changes to their ticket range to make it easier and better value to travel around Greater Manchester.
The change to the range also reflects the moving travel patterns of commuters and leisure users in Greater Manchester.
Day Tickets, the most popular ticket will now be an all day ticket with no off peak ticket. The price for paper and smart will now become the same so regardless of the best way for you to purchase you will always pay the same for your travel.
We will also start to bring into line our other smart and paper ticket options following the introductory special offer discount at launch in September 2015.
We have also added a new 16-18 ticket into the get me there range that allows half price (based on the adult fare) travel for those aged 16-18 on any bus in the System One network, which is great news for young people remaining in education.
We are also removing some System One tickets where we have seen sales decline to low numbers over the last 3 years. These include the Weekender, train and tram add on and all annual tickets (apart from the bus, train and city centre tram option).
BusCard Extra tickets will all be removed from the range completely. In July we added 1, 7 & 28 day Bus and Tram tickets onto the smart product range and many customers have made the switch. For those who use as a train ‘add on’ our popular County Card – Bus, Train and City Centre Tram remains available in 7, 28 and Annual options.
